Some Coat News: The Rebirth of the Tommy Trench

The CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund recently collaborated Tommy Hilfiger and 10 up and coming designers to remake the classic Tommy Trench for their second take on the “Americans in Paris” Initiative. Since March 3,  three of each coat has been put up for sale for $298 each.

These limited edition coats have been featured in Paris Fashion Week, at the Galerie Joyce in Palais Royal. The earnings go the initiative fund which seeks to offer designers opportunity for business growth through international relationships and recognition.

Billy Reid’s remake has been a favorite with its dark green exterior and leather zip-up interior

Ohne Titel gives the coat some edge with a darker color and an embellishment of silver studs

The designers who were part of the initiative are Albertus Swanepoel, Billy Reid, Creatures of the Wind, George Esquivel, Gregory Parkinson, Monique Péan, Ohne Titel, Pamela Love, Prabal Gurung, and Simon Spurr.
